NNAAPC 20th Anniversary

NNAAPC was founded in 1987 as a network of concerned Native people willing to speak up and out on the issue and how HIV/AIDS impacted Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities. One year after its founding, NNAAPC was officially incorporated as a non-profit entity. The last 20 years has seen the epidemic change as new medical advances were made, new drugs developed, new prevention methods diffused, new programs created, funding shifted, and the populations impacted began to shift as well. NNAAPC, as an agency, has also changed over the years to reflect the changing prevention trends and needs of our communities. NNAAPC is proud to stand up as the only national Native entity advocating specifically for HIV prevention and education and celebrate its 20th year giving voice to this issue, raising awareness, building partnerships, and making progress.

Please check back to find out about the events being planned to commemorate this milestone.
