NNHAAD Community Events Map

The Community Events Map is a listing of events that are taking place across the country in honor of National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, March 20, 2012. The goal of the map is to increase awareness and knowledge of the variety of community events being held, promote participation and attendance at events, and to create opportunities for event hosts to potentially collaborate with other events in their area. It also helps the community, the planners, and funders see how important this day is to support.

As NNHAAD is part of a collaborative planning efforts between National Native American AIDS Prevention Center , CA7AE: HIV/AIDS Prevention Project, Inter Tribal Council of Arizona (ITCA), Great Plains Tribal Chairman’s Health Board, and Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center, responsibilities for hosting the map is also a shared responsibility. Since NNAAPC’s website hosted the Community Events Map in 2009, CA7AE: HAPP at Colorado State University hosted the map on their site in 2010 and 2011. For 2012 the NNHAAD Committee decided to create a website specifically for NNHAAD. The community events map is now hosted on the NNHAAD webpage. The map can be accessed by clicking on the map icon below.
