Regional Training Grants
Through the creation of a regional training program, the National Native American AIDS Prevention Center (NNAAPC) is announcing the availability of regional training grants. NNAAPC is looking for organizations that serve Native communities that are willing to host a 2- or 3-day training on one of the following topics*:
DEBI Readiness
Safety Counts
Grant Writing
*Training descriptions are located in the mini-grant application
The grants are for amounts up to $5000 or $6000 depending on the topic selected and are designed to cover all expenses needed to plan and host a training, as well as recruit participants. NNAAPC will supply and cover the expenses for all materials and qualified trainers for the event.
The goal of the one-year regional training program is to coordinate the diffusion of these trainings to Native communities across the county in order to prepare agencies and entities to apply for upcoming funding opportunities.
NNAAPC will be providing monies based upon a competitive application the process. Click here to download the printable application for completion.
All applications are due via postal mail to NNAAPC by June 6th, 5pm MDT with notifications being delivered to applicants by June 20th. The regional trainings may begin, dependant upon dates proposed by applicants, on August 1, 2008. No more training events may be proposed for dates after March 15, 2009.
