Program: Native American Pathways Program

Description of Program: The Native American Pathways Program offers free HIV/AIDS prevention, counseling, testing and referrals. The rapid testing is available to all who request the service.

Program: Young Warriors, Women & Girls Program

Description of Program: The Young Warriors, Women & Girls Program staff work with youth and women on substance use, trauma, domestic violence, suicide prevention and HIV/AIDS prevention and HIV testing and counseling.

Navajo AIDS Network, Inc.                                                                             
Program: Navajo AIDS Network, Inc.

Description of Program:  Navajo AIDS Network (NAN) provides culturally appropriate HIV prevention services focusing on preventing new HIV infections through health education and risk reduction activities. Specific attention is directed toward HIV infected persons and linking clients to counseling, testing and partner counseling. NAN provides MSM programs which increase empowerment and self-esteem by addressing cultural, social, and traditional beliefs. The Hozho Benashadoo offers HIV prevention education services specific to Navajo women by Navajo women. HIV direct care services include case management program for American Indians living on or near the Navajo Nation and HIV testing and counseling services. NAN conducts street outreach and group level interventions, as well as community level interventions.

Pascua Yaqui Tribal Health Department                                                   
Program: Pascua Yaqui HIV/AIDS Prevention Program

Description of Program: The mission is to provide community awareness and education to reduce further spread of HIV and STDs. Available services are community education, counseling, outreach, and workshops for community resource agencies and in-service HIV training for in-house staff is also provided. No HIV testing is rendered, rather referrals for HIV testing are made to Native Images or the Thereselee Clinic in Tucson, Arizona. The Program staff provide prevention education through participation in Native Awareness fairs and other cultural events.

Phoenix Indian Medical Center                                                                    
Program: Phoenix Indian Medical Center HIV Center of Excellence

Description of Program: The Center's mission is to create access to HIV prevention and care for federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native communities. The program has two case managers, a provider and pharmacist. The program activities include testing, prevention education, counseling,  medical intervention, community outreach, and participation at health fairs and World AIDS Day. Clients from Arizona, Nevada, and California are served through the program.

Program: Community Counseling and Relationship Services 

Description of Program: The Program's mission is to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS among members of the Tohono O'odham Nation. The program provides HIV education and prevention and will soon offer HIV testing. The staff provide HIV prevention workshops and presentations as well as locate resources for HIV infected individuals.
