Southeastern District Health Department
Program: SDHD HIV Prevention Program
Description of Program: The Department's mission is to promote healthy people and healthy communities. The Southeastern District Health Department (SDHD) HIV Prevention Program is located in Pocatello, ID and provides services to eight counties to include Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Butte, Caribou, Franklin, Power, and Oneida. All eight sites render HIV testing, counseling, and information brochures. SDHD HIV Prevention Program uses a “Street Smart” curriculum to provide a prevention educational program to incarcerated women and to participants in the Four Directions Drug & Alcohol Treatment Program on the Shoshone-Bannock Reservation.
