Douglas County AIDS Project                                                                      
Program: Douglas County AIDS Project Outreach Education

Description of Program: Douglas County AIDS Project (DCAP) outreach education aims to provide supportive and responsive care for communities affected by HIV/AIDS. The program offers services to Franklin, Jefferson, and Douglas Counties in Kansas. In addition to prevention education, the program provides on-site testing and off-site testing at various community resource agencies. DCAP also sponsors special HIV/AIDS education events and hosts social groups for HIV positive individuals.

Good Samaritan Project                                                                                 
Program: GSP Client Services

Description of Program: The Good Samaritan Project (GSP) Client Services provide supportive care for HIV/AIDS affected individuals and enhance awareness through HIV education and advocacy. The Prevention Education programs offered are: Mentoring Adolescents and AIDS Prevention; Community PROMISE (Peers Reaching Out and Modeling Intervention Strategies); Mpowernment, and Many Men, Many Voices; SISTA (Sisters Informing Sisters on Topics about AIDS); and Healthy Relationships. GSP renders HIV and STD testing in the field or at either offices in Kansas or in Missouri. Good Samaritan Project Prevention Department operates out of the Kansas office.

Hunter Health Clinic                                                                                            
Program: Hunter Health Clinic HIV/AIDS Department

Description of Program: The department has two full-time HIV prevention counselors who provide HIV testing, counseling, case management, and training to HIV Two-Spirit educators, volunteers, and employees. The program has Two-Spirit HIV prevention outreach which includes employees and community groups.
